Jan Lynn Jarvis Price passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church by Pastor Jody Fortner and Pastor Carl Lilly. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens. Jan was preceded in death by her father in law and mother in law: Tib Woods Price and Frances “Nanny” Price whom Jan dearly loved like her second mother. Jan was born on December 4, 1950 the daughter of Maxine Frazier Jarvis and the late John Owen (Jack) Jarvis. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 46 years Roger Dale Price, sons: Mark (Angie), Matthew (Kim) and Michael (Samantha), sister Jina Ward (Gary) and brother Gary (Beverly), and grandchildren: Mark, Leah, Evalyn and Claire who were the light of her life. Jan was a 1968 graduate of Huntington High School and a member of Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church. Jan worked as a medical assistant at Cabell Huntington Hospital and with Drs. Nerhood, Brown, Harrah and George and was co-owner of Huntington Gift Works. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday August 24 at the Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church and from 1:00pm Tuesday until service time Tuesday.
