Verna Mearlyn Auvil

Verna Mearlyn Auvil, 82, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Heritage Center, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Ford Price. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born July 18, 1932 in Lavalette, WV, a daughter of the late Bert and Goldie Lucas Hackworth. She was an administrative assistant and executive secretary with J. L. Caldwell. Survivors include a son and daughter in law Jon and Beverly Auvil; three grandchildren Caroline Paige Auvil, Elizabeth Anne Auvil and Katherine Amelia Auvil; brother John Hackworth and two sisters Mary Kinser and Mabel Rumbaugh and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1 pm until service time on Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home.
