Obituary
Sister Mary Regina Pascucci, SAC SISTER MARY REGINA PASCUCCI, SAC, (Frances Carol) a member of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters, died suddenly on June 27, 2015, at the age of 75, at St. Mary's Convent in Huntington, WV. Sister Regina was born October 28, 1938 in Oswald, WV. to Dominico and Josephina M. (Fontana) Pascucci both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by two bothers Joseph M. Pishner from Temple, TX and Larry A. Pishner from Jasper, AL and two sisters, Eleanor M. Chittum from Yadkinville, NC and Lucy Albert from Cincinnati. OH. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Sister Regina entered the Pallottine Missionary Sisters on October 27, 1957. After graduating from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Huntington, WV in 1963 she remained at St. Mary’s Hospital for two year as a staff nurse. She then went to Marilac College in St. Louis to obtain her BSN. After completing her degree in 1969 she returned to St. Mary’s where she was an Instructor at St. Mary’s School of Nursing for 8 years before being transferred to Sacred Heart Hospital in Richwood, WV where she served as a staff nurse and Utilization Review Coordinator until 1982. Sister then returned to St. Mary’s Hospital where she served in the Pastoral Care Department until she was forced to retire due to her health. Visitation will be on Monday June 29 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the foyer of St. Mary’s Medical Center’s Main Chapel on the 1st floor of the East Wing in Huntington, WV and prior to the service on Tuesday. Visitation on Monday evening will close with a wake service in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Godwin Olugbami at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in the Main Chapel at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, in Huntington, WV.
