Junior William Wallace, a faithful husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, lifelong musician and follower of Christ, went home to his Lord on April 1, 2017, following a brief illness. Born October 9, 1937, Junior walked this life sharing irrepressible hope and joyous melodies. His gentle kindness was experienced by family and friends. He truly knew no strangers. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 3, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Committal services will be private for family only. Friends may call from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home. A retiree of Sherwin Williams after 37 years, Junior was well-known to local painters and contractors. For thirty years Junior sang and played professionally alongside his brother Don in the dance band The Blue Notes, and the pair went on to travel and sing gospel music in churches around the country over another 32 years. A grandfather of six and uncle to eight nieces and nephews, Junior is survived by his wife Sherry Wallace, sons Mike Wallace and Brad Wallace, brother Don Wallace and sister Margaret Burcham. He is preceded in death by his parents Otia and Frances Wallace and a sister, Sylvia Clark. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be sent to The Ronald McDonald House of Huntington or Kentucky Organ Donation Affiliates.
