Mike Mullens, 72, of South Point, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 31, 2018. He was born July 29, 1946 in McAlester, Oklahoma, son of the late Howard L. Mullens and Tishie M. Moulton. He was a member of Westmoreland Baptist Church. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Betty Jane Mullens; Daughter, Kelli Helton of South Point, OH; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Todd and Kelli Mullens, Milton, WV; four grandchildren, Jake Helton, Noah Mullens, Grace Mullens, and Josh Helton; Brother, Howard (Lori) Mullens; Sister, Kaye (Tom) Savory; Brother, Gregory (Lee Anne) Mullens. Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law, Philip and Diane Daniel; Nephews, Shane (Kelly) Overby, Scott Overby; Niece, Angie (Brent) Jolicoeur. Mike retired from Heiner’s Bakery after 27 years. He loved his co-workers and invested in their lives. Mike enjoyed watching sports and loved playing golf with his buddies. Mike always enjoyed being around his family. He was so proud of his grandkids. He was always bragging about them. Funeral service will be held at Reger Funeral Chapel at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 2, 2018. Visitation will be held from 1 pm until service time at Reger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Wayne, W.Va.
