Roger Allen McCarty

Roger Allen McCarty, 69, of South Point, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted by Fr. Dean Borgmeyer on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 1pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Roger was born on November 18, 1951 in Paintsville, Ky to the late Ford and Alma Fairchild McCarty. Roger worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways as a heavy equipment operator. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to farm, fish, and care for those that he loved. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, James; and sister, Linda. He is survived by his wife Clare O'Shea McCarty; four sons, Donathan (Rachel), Brent (Melody), Nicholas (Jada), and Benjamin (Rachel); eight grandchildren, Galen, Connor, Trevor, Dylan, Camryn, Arden Grace, Logan, and Heidi; and one great grandson, Case.
