Charles Richard Runyon
(February 6, 1941 - September 30, 2021)

Charles "Richard" Runyon, 80, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Cattlettsburg and Ashland, KY, passed away on Tuesday September 30, 2021 at St. Mary's Medical Center.  He was born February 6, 1941, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Jonah B. and Dicie Marie Burke Runyon.  He leaves behind his wife, Jane Runyon; two daughters Lisa Runyon Unrue and Charlotte Runyon Ferrell; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by all of his siblings, Steve, John, Bill, Jim, Charlotte, Minnie, Dorothy and Mary Jane.  Richard was a born again Christian.  He was saved and baptized at Pollard Baptist Church, Ashland, KY., where he worked for many years and "Rang" the church bell for over thirty years.  Richard had lots of nieces and nephews whom he loved spending time with and telling them stories of his life growing up.  He will be loved and missed forever.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens, Ashland, KY.  Burial will follow.  Reger Funeral Home, Huntington, is assisting the family with arrangements.
