Obituary

Helen E. Perry Smith
(April 29, 1918 - May 21, 2017)

Helen E. Perry Smith, born April 29, 1918, widow of Raymond Smith, passed Sunday, May 21, 2017. Helen is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Greg Smith and Brent and Beverly Smith; grandchildren, Brandon Smith and Serena Marson, Chad Smith and Kristen Shiflet, Melissa and Tyler Chandler, Holly Smith and Brad Foster; and great-grandchildren, Cammie Smith, Theo Chandler, Isaac Foster and Will Foster. Helen served her country as a registered nurse in the Corp Cadet with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. She was a lifelong member of Milton Baptist Church, American Baptist Women Ministries and the Milton Garden Club. Helen was blessed with many loving family members and caring friends, all of whom she treasured. Services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Forest Memorial Park Mausoleum, Milton, by Rev. Allen Stewart. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service at the cemetery. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton is in charge of arrangements.
