PEARL KATHERINE "KATHY" MORTON, 78, Milton, WV was born on January 4, 1940 to the late Walter and Alice Heimbigner in Chester, MT. Kathy passed peacefully at her son’s home in Albuquerque, NM on Monday, Apr 2, 2018. Kathy is survived by her three loving children and their spouses: son Ronny Lee and Lyn Morton of Rainier, WA, daughter René Lynn and Greg Nevens of Triangle, VA and Rodney Lowell and Barbara Morton of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Ruby Borst and Opal Borkse of Great Falls, MT, and one brother Donnie Heimbigner of Chester, MT; four grandchildren: Kyra, Amber (Day), Alyssa, and Cody; two step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother and sister, Roy Heimbigner and Donna Perdue of Chester, MT. Kathy was a proud mother and homemaker who devoted her life to caring for other people. She was a graduate of the St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Huntington, WV where she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse degree. Kathy went on to work at Morris Memorial Nursing in Milton, WV and ended her nursing career having worked several years at the Huntington Internal Medicine Group in Huntington, WV. She also enjoyed attending her children’s school and sporting events and was always one of their biggest fans in the stands cheering and providing support. The love she had for her four grandchildren was abundant and became a huge part of her life after her nursing career. Her home was always filled with laughter and love. Services will be held on Monday, Apr 9, 2018 at Wallace Funeral Home in Milton, WV at 11 am. Internment at Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, Apr 8, 2018.
