Blanche Eloise McDonie
(February 11, 1937 - January 11, 2018)



BLANCHE ELOISE MCDONIE, 80, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 11, 2018. She was born on February 11, 1937, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Blanche Adkins McDonie. She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Davis and Pat Oxley, and three brothers, Thomas Jr., Clayton Ford and Royce. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Pat McDonie, with whom she made her home; two brothers, Gene and Jim McDonie; very special friend, Trudy Black; six nieces; ten nephews; many great-nieces and -nephews; as well as her church family at Sunrise Temple Baptist Church, of which she was the treasurer (CEO) for over sixty years, and was also an avid Marshall fan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Mark Finley officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in Maupin Cemetery, Ona. Pallbearers will be Rick Oxley, Rodney Oxley, Jordan Oxley, Deron Harper, Jon McDonie and Brent McDonie.
