ObituaryElmer "Pete" G. Clagg Elmer “Pete” G. Clagg, 86, of Milton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 3, 2022. He was born on April 20, 1936. He was the son of the late Albert and Mary Clagg of Milton and was preceded in death by his loving wife Polly Ann (Cremeans) Clagg. He is survived by his two daughters, Diane (James) Chapman and Debra (Jeff) Wise and one grandson, Justin (Rhenda) Chapman, all of Barboursville. He is also survived by three sisters, Evelyn (Zelin) Meadows, Rosa Hickman and Wanda Chapman, all from Milton, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Everette Clagg and one sister, Almeda Hickman, both from Milton. Elmer “Pete” Clagg retired from the Perry Norvell Shoe Company and the Huntington Mall. He was loved by many people as well as his dog “Ava”. He also had two special friends, Rick Smith and Gerald Asbury both of Barboursville. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Darrell Quintrell officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
