Col. Roy Clifford Clark
(September 21, 1943 - May 19, 2012)

Col. Roy Clifford Clark, 68, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 19, 2012, after a 4 ½ year battle with bone cancer. He was born September 21, 1943, in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late John Clifford and Alta Ellen Chapman Clark. He was a former auctioneer and President of the Auctioneers Association. He retired from the WV State Treasurer's Office. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Grethel Jean Crawford Clark; one daughter, Sherry Lynn McDonie and her husband, Jon; one son, Roy Clifford Clark Jr. and his wife, Lesley; three grandchildren, Jeremy and Kelsey Lane, and Stephanie McDonie-Vulhop and her husband, Andy; one great granddaughter, Violet Vulhop. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Graveside services will be conducted at noon Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Neal Cemetery, Milton. The procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
