Morgon Hargis
(January 4, 1948 - February 20, 2013)



Morgon Hargis, 65, of Barboursville, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at his residence. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Living Stone Missionary Baptist Church, of which he was a member, Sunday School teacher, and clerk. He was born January 4, 1948 in Logan County, a son of the late Henry and Clara Irene Hall Hargis. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Gordon Hargis, and his grandparents, Maxie and Anna May Roberts. He was a graduate of Marshall University, a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. Morgon loved golfing, fishing and camping with family. He is survived by his wife, Edith Hensley Hargis; one daughter, Gina Lycans Hall of Barboursville; three sons, Brian (Dawn) Lycans FL, Aaron Roy Lycans of Huntington and Marc Arnould of Barboursville; one sister, Sharon Rickel of Virginia Beach, VA ; nephews, Chris and Michael Rickel; grandchildren, Randy Maynard of North Carolina, Todd Maynard of Florida, Karen Maynard Moore, of North Carolina, Eric Maynard of Florida; five great-grandchildren; great-nephew, Paxton Rickel; and two very special grandchildren Tori Lycans and Layne Hall. He was loved by all who was blessed to be in his life. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington for their support and care during his sudden illness. There will be no visitation. Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
