Leiota "Shama" Shamblin
(1935 - November 15, 2013)

Leiota "Shama" Shamblin, 78, of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Deacon Doug Wells. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park. She was the only child of Alonzo Leonard and Gladys Conard Wallace. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence Edward Shamblin; one son, Gregory Shamblin, and one grandson, Keith Shamblin. She was married June 10, 1953 in Jacksonville, NC. She and her husband met in the 6th grade and had been together until his passing in 2003. She was the beloved mother of Danny Shamblin of Ottawa, IL and Kimberly Shamblin of Aurora, IL; devoted grandmother of Rachel (Nick) Kennedy, Kelly (Amanda) Shamblin, Jeremy (Amy) Sloan and Tammy (Davis) Phelps, and devoted great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren; special friend and cousin, Naomi Sparks, and special friends, Carolyn Leadman, Helen Tisdale, and Debbie Clary, Rick, Roger and Rodney Keaton that she held very dear to her heart. Pallbearers will be Danny and Kimberly Shamblin, Jeremy Sloan, Roger Keaton, Rachel Kennedy, and Kelly Shamblin. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
