Obituary

Cletis W. Adkins
(January 1, 1932 - May 17, 2014)

Cletis W. Adkins, 82, of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2014 at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 1, 1932 in Beech Fork, WV. He was the last surviving child of ten of the late Olum and Rosabell White Adkins. During his life he worked twenty-seven years at Kerr Class and retired from the Cabell County Board of Education. He was a member of 5th Ave. United Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his son, Greg Adkins. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Lola Bills Adkins; his children, Robin Perry and her husband Roy, Tammy Adkins, and Tim Adkins and his wife Nancy, his grandchildren, Dwayne and Shawn Perry, Amber and Tisha Adkins; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. Dan Ross. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
