Obituary

Hazel Schneider
(March 22, 1926 - May 21, 2015)

Hazel Schneider, 89, of Chesapeake, OH, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Minister David Adkins. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery, Rome, Ohio. She was born March 22, 1926 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Polly Adkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Schneider; brothers and sisters, Hallie Adkins, Howard Adkins, Homer Adkins, Tiny Adkins, Edna Baker. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, John Darwin and Elizabeth A. Schneider of Glouster, OH and David Schneider of Proctorville, OH; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Hastie Sullivan of Ceredo and Dorothy and Wetzel Lester of Huntington, and one brother and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Winifred Adkins of Akron, OH and Margie Adkins of Wayne, WV; grandchildren, Jarrod Schneider and Kelly Schneider; great grandson, Emmett Whitley; and several loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank a special caregiver, Pricilla Bailey and Hospice of Huntington. Visitation will be Tuesday after 1:00 pm at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
