Obituary

Alberta Marie Smith, 92, of Lesage, WV went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2008.  She was born on October 8, 1915 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Ernest and Lessie Williams.  Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Smith; one sister, Faye Hanne; two brothers, James Williams and Arvil Williams; one daughter-in-law, Monna Smith.  She is survived by three sons, Ernie (Irene) Smith, Richard (Lois) Smith, and David Smith all of Lesage; one daughter, Martha (Robert) Wilks of Lesage; two sisters, Mary Yoho of Gallipolis, OH and Lorena Bryan of Ona; two brothers, Warren (DeDe) Williams of Milton and Gary (Peggy) Williams of Gallipolis, OH; one sister-in-law, Aurilla Williams of Gallipolis, OH; nine grandchildren, Brent and Lisa Smith of Barboursville, Mark and Patty Smith of Huntington, Matt and Debbie Smith of Culloden, Rosanna and Rod Pruett of High Point, NC, Darren and Rhonda Smith of Lesage, Brooke and Eric Kiser of Lesage, Tiffani and Chris Lyons of Lesage, Calley and Chad Crookshank ofLesage, Nathan and Kara Wilks of Denver, CO; nineteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.  The family would like to express a special thank you to Lily Gray and Carolyn Ford.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Olive Baptist Church in Huntington with Pastor Gordon Rutherford officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Herrenkohl Cemetery, Lesage.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.  The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Huntington.
