Eunice Turner Jackson 94, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2001 at Oakmont Manor, Flatwoods, KY. Funeral services will be held on Saturday Nov. 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Trent Eastman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born May 26, 1917 in Huntington the daughter of the late Orville and Bertha Effingham Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, P.M. Jackson Jr. in 1994, and siblings Emogene Smith, Lillian Cooke and C.A. “Tom” Turner. Eunice was a life-long resident of Huntington, WV. she graduated from Huntington High School in 1936, and married in 1940. She was an active member of the former 20th Street Baptist Church (New Baptist Church) for over 70 years where she taught kindergarten Sunday school and participated in her class and circle. She was also an active member of the Beverly Hills Woman’s Club. Eunice was a homemaker and tireless caregiver for her parents, in-laws, and husband. She was a very special mother and Mom Maw. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Tom Folsom, II of Russell, KY, a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Carolyn Jackson of Ashland, Ky. Eunice had four grandchildren, Tom Folsom, III, Anne McKay, Laura White and Aaron Jackson. She was also blessed with four great grandchildren, Racquel, Gavin, Josilyn and Otis, nephews and a niece. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00p.m.on Friday at Beard Mortuary.
