MARVIN WILLIAM SLOMKE, 98, of
Huntington, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at St.
Mary's Medical Center. He was born July 28, 1916, in Detroit, Mich. He was a
U. S. Coast Guard veteran having served in the Atlantic and Pacific during
WWII. He was retired from Ruth Contracting. He is survived by his wife
of 59 years, Carole Ann Jones Slomke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald
and Angie Slomke of Barboursville, W.Va., and Michael and Carmen Slomke of
Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a granddaughter Kellie Slomke of Barboursville.
Services will be private. Beard Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
