Mary Louise Ours

MARY LOUISE MCDADE OURS, 98, of Huntington, widow of Gerald E. Ours died February 8, 2015 at Chateau Grove Senior Living. She was born in Portland, Ohio, January 17, l9I7, the daughter of Van Edward McDade and Henrietta Middleswart McDade. She was a former member of the Ninth Avenue United Methodist Church and a member of Highlawn Community of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 134 in Racine, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Gilbert McDade of Michigan, and special cousin, Helen McDade Bush of Gallipolis, Ohio. Survivors include, a son, Lynn Duane (Beverly) Ours, and a daughter, Linda Lou Ours Wright, both of Huntington, WV; three granddaughters: Kerry Lea (Jack) Kribbs of Salisbury, NC, Michelle Lynne (Alex) Bambridge of Katy, TX, and Christa Marie Ours Nuckols of Yulee, FL; one grandson: Jon Scott (Kerri) Ours of Milton, WV; seven great-grandchildren: Benton and Jennifer Kribbs of Salisbury, NC, Nicholas and Matthew Malanga of Katy, TX, and Caden, Amelia, and Caleb Ours of Milton, WV. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Beard Mortuary on Saturday, February 14 from 11:00 AM to l2:30PM. Order of Eastern Star ceremony from 12:30 to l:00, and funeral service starting at l:00. Pastor Steve Hamrick from Community of Grace UMC will officiate. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her sweet spirit, warmth, generosity, devotion to her husband, pride in her children, and love for her grand and great-grandchildren. Flowers would be appreciated or donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation West Virginia/Kentucky chapter at 306 Lunsford Lane, Milton, WV 25541 in honor of her great-grandson Caden Ours or to the Alzheimer's Association, 160l Second Avenue, Charleston, WV 25387. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff at Chateau Grove Senior Living for their care and compassion.
