Virgil Greathouse
(April 13, 1940 - February 1, 2010)

Virgil Greathouse, 69, of Huntington, WV, passed away February 1, 2010, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House after a long illness. Virgil, a retired truck driver, is survived by his wife of 13 years, Emmogene Wooten Greathouse; two sisters, Goldie Friley and Alberta of Kentucky; two stepsons, Darrell (Rose) Wooten of Kenova and Verlin (Christine) Wooten of Proctorville. He was born April 13, 1940 in Kentucky a son of the late Wales and Sarah Greathouse. Fifteen siblings also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Danny Wooten and Rev. Emual Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Adkins Home Cemetery, Huntington, with Darrell, Claude, Verlin, Roger, Randy, and Burl Wooten as pallbearers. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday.
