Jennings Walter Kimler
(December 8, 1928 - March 31, 2010)



Jennings Walter Kimler, 81, of Huntington, WV, husband of 55 years to Verena Linkfield Kimler, died Wednesday March 31, 2010 at 10:18 PM at home. Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 AM Monday April 5, 2010, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, of which he was a member for 35 years, with the Rev. Father Jim Sobus and the Rev. Father Bert Valdes officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Jennings was born December 8, 1928 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Willie and Virginia Starks Kimler. His brother, James Kimler also preceded him in death. He was a 1948 graduate of Huntington High School and attended Marshall Community College and technical home schools. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1948 until 1952. Jennings retired as a supervisor from Owens Illinois. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter, Theresa Rapp, husband Mark, and children: Amelia Kathleen and Luke Linkfield Rapp; daughter, Alicia Anderson, and children: Kristen Marie, Kelsey Michelle, Robert Jennings, and Kara Verena, all of Huntington; son, Kirk Kimler and wife Karla, and children: Kane Patrick, Kyle Joseph, Mackenzie Jane, and Cassidy Ann, all of The Woodlands, TX. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph High School, or Hospice House of Huntington. The family would like to thank Hospice staff, Vickie, Margie, Raymond, and Janet, for their special care. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
