Frank M. Volk
(March 23, 1924 - March 9, 2010)


Frank M. Volk, 85, of Huntington, husband of Dorothy Terry Volk passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in Huntington Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, March 12, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor David Cartwright officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. He was born March 23, 1924 in Baltimore MD a son of the late Frank and Viola Wilson Volk. Growing up, Frank spent his younger years on the shores of Delaware and Maryland. He was an avid golfer, gardener and loved the ocean. He was a U S Marine Corp. veteran serving during WWII. He was a member of Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church for over 50 years, and the owner/operator of the former Frank's Sandwich Shop. Survivors in addition to his wife include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Charles Price, and Martha and Jon Floyd all of Huntington; two sisters, Ruth Gilliam of Ijamsville, MD, and Evelyn Cestare of Valley Stream, NY; two grandchildren, Frank and Mattie Floyd.
