Martha Delores Motley
(July 12, 1935 - October 4, 2018)

Martha “Cricket” Delores Jones Motley, 83, went to be with the Lord early morning Thursday, October 4, 2018. Born and raised in Huntington, a daughter of the late Virginia Elizabeth Johnson and Arceidus B. Jones.  She is preceded in death by her son, Robert Lawrence Jones; sisters, Janet Elizabeth Jones, Jean Ellen Jones and Joyce Lee Jones.  She was married to Ashley J. Motley who preceded her in death in 2002. She leaves to cherish her memory; four children, Jacalyn Marie Motley-Thompson, Cynthia Jean Grayson (Lynn), Chip Motley and William Jeffrey Motley (Mary). Also, surviving are her siblings; Arceidus B. Jones (Mary), Levi A. Jones (Jane), Joann W. Jones, Ronita (Rosie) and Williamson Palmer (Terry). She will be sorely missed by 8 much-love grandchildren and a host of several great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Friday, October 12, 2018 at 16^th Street Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Hill, officiating.  Family will welcome friends at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
