Obituary

OWEN ELLIOT BIAS, 84, of Milton went home to be with his Lord Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, in Morris Memorial Nursing Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Dr. Charles Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Owen was born April 4, 1920, in Lincoln County, W.Va., a son of the late Charles and Clara Clark Bias. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Forrest Bias and Darrell Bias, and one sister, Polly Miller. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hurricane, W.Va., and also a member of Milton Masonic Lebanon Lodge 68 AF&AM. Owen served in World War II and during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and retired from Union Carbide, South Charleston. Owen is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Morrison Bias; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lee and E. Woody Woodall; three grandchildren, Michele Bird and husband Darwin and Chris Woodall and Jenny Woodall; one great-grandchild, Tyler Bird; three brothers, Kelly Bias of Milton, Charles Bias of Florida and Keith Bias of Hurricane; one sister, Shirley Wicker of Virginia; and a very special caregiver, Marcella Woodard. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
