DANNY S. "Smitty" SMITH, 53, of Milton went home to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Billy Adkins and the Rev. Windell Shull officiating. Burial will follow in Bicker Cemetery, Milton. He was born April 30, 1952, in Cabell County, a son of Fay Childers of Milton and Rudolph Smith of Milton. He is also survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Lewanna and Rex Sowards of Milton and Heaven Smith of Branchland; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Danny Joe Smith of Milton and Daryl Smith and Relounda Allen of Greenup, Ky.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Johnny and Judy Smith of Huntington, Curtis Smith of Huntington and Murel and Brenda Smith of Glenwood; one sister, Beverly Templeton of Milton; and five grandchildren, Steven Woodard, Shalina Smith, Sue Anna Smith, Rex Sowards Jr. and Adam Smith. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Joe Smith. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home.
