Obituary

LEO PAUL GIVEN, 85, of Milton passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Winford Curry and the Rev. Chelcie Gibson officiating. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Leo was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Charleston, W.Va., a son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Jenkins Ransom Given. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Marshall Given; one daughter, Stephanie Cosby; one sister, Lorraine Maddox. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Beni Kedem Temple and a member of the South Charleston Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his loving wife, Dilla Powers Given; six children, Walter and Carey Given of Georgetown, S.C., Priscilla Fisher of Charleston, W.Va., Dana and David Walters, Lois and Jim Mack, Don Jenkins and Brent and Marie Jenkins all of Milton; 17 grandchildren, Tara (Steve) Clemmons, Tawnya (Duncan) Sherer, Chris Streett, Brent Streett, Denise (Terry) Boyce, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Fisher, Josh Cosby, Jodi (Sean) Chandler, Michael (Tara) Meadows, Seth Walters, Jared Walters, Leslie (Chad) Clagg, Julie (Robert) Morrison, Tracy (Jake) Morton, Jennifer (Marc) Osborn, Keith Rappold and Airiana Jenkins;18 great-grandchildren, Harrison and Carter Clemmons, Taylor Sherer, Brett, Carson, Jackson Boyce, Stephon and Syernity Fisher, Chris and Lindsay Miles, Mikhayla, McKenna and Dylan Meadows, Skyler Clagg, Kira and Gabi Morrison, Brandon and Alex Osborn. Donations may be sent to Hospice of Huntington. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
