Obituary

Walter Hoffman "Warren" Jr., 80, of Culloden died Saturday, December 2, 2006, at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital, Hurricane. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at St. Timothy's in-the-Valley Episcopal Church, Hurricane, with the Reverends Cheryl Winter and George Sherrill, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Walter was born June 1, 1926 in Weston, W. Va., a son of the late Walter H. and Gladys Post Warren. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Allan A. Warren. He graduated from Weston High School in 1944 and also was a graduate of West Virginia University in 1950 where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served his country during World War II as 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. He was the former owner of Highland Insurance Inc., Huntington. He was a member of the American Legion Post 139, Milton. He is survived by his loving wife, Lola Anne Boram: one daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and David Monk of Lexington, Ky; two sons and daughter-in-law, Walter H. III and Sue-Beth Warren of Wheeling and Stuart P. and Carla Warren of Hurricane; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be sent to St. Timothy's-in the-Valley Episcopal church Memorial Fund at P.O. Box 424; Hurricane, WV 25526. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2006, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
