Obituary

LAURANCE MAXWELL BREEDLOVE, 78, of Culloden went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2006, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. Burial and military graveside rights will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Max was born October 7, 1927, in Lincoln County, West Virginia, a son of the late Lavie Mont and Bertie Angus Breedlove. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Carl Breedlove. Max served his country in the United States Navy. At the end of World War II, he was on the USS Haven testing the atomic bomb on Bikini Atoll. Max is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rose Smith Breedlove; three daughters, Patty Breedlove, Bonita Mills and Diane Pierson; two grandchildren, Nathan Smith and Erica Pierson Jude; four sisters, Maurine McKimmy, Joann Stephens, Ginny Rowsey and Sybil Edwards; one brother, Jerry Breedlove. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2006, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
