Obituary

WALTER "Richie" RICHARDSON, 78, of Culloden, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, with his loving wife by his side. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with the Rev. Tracy Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Walter was born Jan. 10, 1928, in South Charleston, a son of the late John and Jessie Ellis Richardson. He was a member of Union Baptist Church and retired from Union Carbide after 40 years of service in construction. Walter leaves behind his wife, Thelma, of 24 years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Ed Holstein of South Charleston, W.Va. and Sandy and Coleman Hardin of Mesa, Az.; one son, Alan Richardson of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; four stepchildren, Mike Holley, Lynn and Bruce Wray, David and Michelle Taylor, Ed and Benita Taylor; one special granddaughter, Tiffany Wray; eleven grandchildren, Belinda, Chris, Misty, Jim, Josh, Stephanie, Justin, Chad, Christina and Anthony; nine great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Hospice of Huntington. Friends and family may call from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
