JOE PACK
(September 22, 1937 - March 11, 2014)

Joe Pack, 76 of Glenwood, WV, passed away, Tuesday, March 11, 2014. He was born September 22, 1937 in Mingo County, WV the son of the late Sherman and Minnie Blankenship Pack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Pack; one sister, Lizzie Pack and one brother, Leonard Pack. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV with Rev. Ed Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery, Glenwood, WV. Joe was retired from Sturm Machine Shop in Barboursville, WV, member of the Teamsters Union and United States Steel Workers Union. He was also a member of the High Mountain Ramblers Bluegrass Band and an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He is survived by two daughters, Veronica Dailey (Fred) of Milton, WV and  Deborah Pack of Huntington; one son, Brent Pack (Gala) of Glenwood, WV; three sisters, Bessie Hesson and Marie Byrd of Rensselaer, IN. and Edith Varney of Long Beach, Miss; four brothers, Ralph Pack of Lebanon, TN, Johnny Pack of Portsmouth, OH  and Clifford and Howard Pack of Rensselaer, IN; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Aaron Dailey of Milton, WV, Mke Pack (Leigha) of Culloden, WV, T.J. Adkins (Casey) of Bloomingrose, WV, Kyle Adkins (Jennifer) of Charleston, SC, Autumn Bolen (Chris) of Ashland, KY and Raven Sammons (Terry) of Huntington, WV, Logan Pack (Kayla) both of Glenwood, WV; eleven great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. He is also survived by his loving companion, Shirley Russell of Hurricane, WV.   Visitation will be from 6-9 PM on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV.
