DON E. DAVIDSON

^{II. Timothy 4:7 -} I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Don E. Davidson, 95 of Venice, Fl, formerly of Barboursville, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in Venice Medical Center, Venice, FL. He was born May 12, 1918 in Branchland, WV the son of the late Sylvester Patton and Ethel Simpkins Davidson. He was a retired Principal of Barboursville Elementary School, member of First Baptist Church, Venice, FL. where he served as Deacon, served on several boards and was also a graduate of Marshall University. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Imogene Snodgrass Davidson of Venice, FL.; three daughters, Sandra (Larry) Freeman of Huntington, WV, Sue (Zeke) Myers of Greenville, NC and Carol (Richard) Cunningham of Sarasota, FL; two sisters, Lillian (Walter) Pinkerton of Charleston, WV and Mildred Duffield of Huntington, WV; five grandchildren, Rick Freeman of Huntington, WV, Jim (Melody) Freeman of Barboursville, WV, Susan Myers of OH, David Tweel (Michelle) of TN and Elizabeth Tweel of FL; four great-grandchildren, Janessa (Justin) Lusk and Lydia Freeman of Barboursville, WV, Maggie and Gabbie Tweel of TN; two step-great-grandsons, Alex and Nick Blevins of Barboursville, WV; one great-great-grandchild, Elliotte Lusk of Barboursville, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV with Pastor Pete Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
