Mrs. Betty Jane Irwin
Mrs. Betty Jane Irwin, 75, of Milton, WV, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services Saturday, Dec. 18, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Charles D. Gibson officiating. Burial in Lunsford Cemetery, Milton. Betty was born at Huntington on April 3, 1924. She was a daughter of the late Elmer G. and Julia Miller Parsons. Betty was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Parsons-Williams, two brothers Theodore and Theirn Parsons, an infant daughter, Arubutus Louise Irwin and on Nov. 26, 1994, by her husband, Napoleon J. Irwin. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Milton, a graduate of Huntington East High School and a retired cook for the Cabell Co. Board of Education. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Dave Alford of Ona; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Doris Irwin of Proctorville, OH; six grandchildren, Matthew Gordon Irwin, Jamie Alan Irwin, Amy Irwin, Sean David Alford, Tara Faun Ray and husband, Brian Baxter Ray, and Jessika Erin Alford; one great grandson, Landon Monroe Adams; two sisters, Stella Ashworth and Hattie Pinson and one brother, K.A. “Pete” Parsons, all of Huntington.
