Obituary


David Alan Thompson, 61 of Columbus, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in Columbus. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday by Rev. Jimmy Yates at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. He was born March 15, 1954 in Huntington, WV a son of Donald and Betty J. Workman Thompson of Lexington, Ky. He was a graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School in 1972, was a retired HVAC installer and was an avid Ohio State football and University of Kentucky basketball fan. He is also survived by his daughter, Genna D. Thompson of Columbus, OH, one son Kyle Lake Thompson (Cat) currently serving in the US Army stationed in El Paso, Texas, one grandchild, Kennedy Melvin of Columbus, Ohio, one sister, Donna Thompson of Lexington, Ky., two brothers, Dennis Thompson (Joyce) of Greenup, Ky., and Dan Thompson (Steph) of Austin, TX. , nephews ,Kevin, Steven, Kalob and Christopher Thompson, and one niece Allison Thompson all of Greenup, Ky. Preceding him in death was his maternal grandparents, Edgar and Nettie Smith Workman of Wayne and paternal grandparents, Fred E. and Opal Webb Thompson ( formerly of Wayne). Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
