Larry Gene Watts
(October 15, 1946 - September 14, 2018)



Larry Gene Watts, 71, of Huntington, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted by Rev. David Fairburn on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 1 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Dock’s Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Anthony Stapleton, Cory Moore, Johnathon Peterman, Rick Spence, Tom Spence, Jr., and Tom Spence III. Larry was born on October 15, 1946 in Wayne County, WV to the late Elijah and Emogene Berry Watts. He was a retired employee of Heiner’s Bakery and a member of Ceredo Christian Baptist. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three infant brothers, Eddie, Tommy, and Gary Watts; and a brother, Paul Lycan. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Wilma G. Watts; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue (John) Peterman of Ashland, KY and JoAnn (Anthony) Stapleton of Ironton, Ohio; one step son, William (Debbie) Ray of Kingsport, TN; one step daughter, Dreama (Thomas) Spence of Huntington; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Thompson of Ceredo, WV, Susie (Joseph) Young of Florence, SC, Kathy (Charles) Adkins of Dunlow, WV sister in law: Glenna Lycans of Cleveland, Ohio and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends may call from noon until service time on Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
