Linda Jill Miller

Jill Miller was born January 4th, 1939, in West Hamlin, WV, to Glenna Midkiff Pauley and Russell V. Pauley both of Hamlin, WV. She left peacefully in her sleep on December 26th at Madison Park in Huntington, WV. She had 3 daughters, Christina Miller of Ben Lomond, CA, Catherine Jean Miller (deceased), and Cynthia Looney of Summerville, SC. She also left behind son-in-law Stephan Looney of Summerville, SC and two grandchildren Stephan “Ian” Looney of Summerville, SC and Jillian Miller of Ben Lomond, CA. She had two nephews, Rusty Pauley of Hurricane, WV, and David Pauley of Fayetteville, NC. She also leaves behind a number of cousins in the Hamlin, WV area. She is preceded in death of her parents, her brother Jackson Pauley, and her sister Jean Duvall. She attended Marshall University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She was in the banking industry for more than 25 years where she made many lifelong friends lovingly nicknamed “The Basement Girls”. She retired from BB&T in 1999. Jill was an unofficial foster mom to many of her daughters' friends over the years and always welcomed people and animals into her home with an open heart. She was an amazing second mom to her grandson “Ian” and will be greatly missed.
