Johnda L. Clay Barker
(April 25, 1959 - February 3, 2012)

Johnda L. Clay Barker, 52, of Huntington, WV, passed away from a sudden illness Friday, February 3, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Rev. Dale Waters. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens, Ashland, KY. She was born April 25, 1959, in Boyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Billie Red Clay and Genie Webb Clay of Ashland, KY. She was a 1977 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School, and was an avid sports fan. Johnda worked as a supervisor for 12 years at Glenn's Sporting Goods and was currently working at the Cabell County Circuit Clerks office as a deputy clerk. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ron Barker; one daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Josh Turley of Huntington, WV; two sons, Charles Christopher Barker of Lexington, KY and James Ronald Barker of Huntington; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Duane Pennington of Lexington, KY, Jennie and Eddie Whitt of Ashland, KY, and Rebecca Clay of Ashland, KY; two brothers and sister-in-law, Robert and Rita Clay of Columbus, Nebraska and Bruce Clay of Catlettsburg, KY; a grandson, Miles Turley who is due in May; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. The family requests that blood be donated to the American Red Cross in Johnda's name.
