Herbert Earl King
(June 20 1933 - February 9, 2012)



Herbert Earl King, 78, of Barboursville, joined his beloved wife of 57 years, Wanda Von Scarberry King, in their heavenly home on Thursday, February 9, 2012. He is arriving just in time to celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary on Monday the 13th with all the heavenly host included. What a glorious celebration it shall be. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2012, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastor Rick Glass officiating. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born June 20, 1933, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late David and Manie King. He was formerly employed as a truck driver at Associated Grocery, a Ranger at Boy Scout Camp Arrowwood and also worked at Owens Illinois; He attended Elmwood Baptist Church where he enjoyed many years of helping children in Awanas. He is survived by two brothers, Ray King and wife Gayle of Barboursville, Larry King and wife Rebecca of Milton; four sisters, Edna Harbour, Layanna Scarberry and husband Carl, all from Barboursville, Revadene Scarberry of Lesage, and Evelyn Frye of Sarasota, FL; three children, Charlotte Hall and husband Timothy, Ricky King and wife Valerie all from Barboursville, and Roger King of Huntington; eight grandchildren, Tish Morris, Todd Heaberlin, Travis Heaberlin, Roger King, Sandra King, Josh King, Campbell King and Callie King; eight great-grandchildren, Shane, Ashley, Paige, Katlin, Aerial, Laynie, Barbara and Jaden; very special friends, Wolfram and Angela Tittel and a whole host of nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
