Rev. Harlan Carroll Esque
(May 14, 1937 - August 3, 2013)



Rev. Harlan Carroll Esque, 76, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. Richard Maynard and Zac Arrowood. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born May 14, 1937 in Cabell County, a son of the late Leonard M. and Mary Jane Blevins Esque. He was retired from the City of Huntington was a member of First Huntington Christian Baptist Church. He was also a member of Western Star 11 A.F.& A.M.. Guyandotte, WV, the Eastern Star, the Shriners and was a 32 Degree mason. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Mae Jones and Betty Esque, and five brothers, Charles W. Esque, Emmett Lee Esque, Ray Esque, Eugene Esque and Ed Esque. He is survived by his wife, Deloris Winters Esque; two daughters, Carla Esque and her fiancé, Mike Saliba of Proctorville, OH; and Shelia Winters of Charleston, WV; one brother, Lawrence Esque of Kitts Hill, OH; two grandsons, Dow Blankenship and Shain Winters; close friends, Danny and Barbara Elders and their three children, Katie, Kasey and Jake; and two childhood friends, Tish Guthrie and Eloise Corns. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 6th Ave., Huntington, WV 25701. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington for all their wonderful care and support.
