Betty Jo Halstead McCoy
(April 8, 1929 - March 9, 2013)


Betty Jo Halstead McCoy, 83, of Milton, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House with her family by her side. She is the widow of Ollie Forrest McCoy. Betty was born April 8, 1929, in Boone County, WV, the daughter of the late Dana and Edna Mae Taylor Halstead. She is also preceded in death by a brother Dana H. Halstead. She is survived by three daughters Melinda McCoy, Karen (Doug) Cremeans, and Nada (James) Morris all of Milton; two sons Brent (Debbie) McCoy of DeMotte, IN, and Dr. Brad (Nancy) McCoy of Charleston, WV and nine grandchildren. Betty worked and retired from Cabell Huntington Hospital. Special thanks to Mark Leonard of Hospice and all the staff at the Hospice House. Also a special thanks to care givers Debbie Cyrus and Nancy Martin. Funeral services will be at the Wallace Funeral Home in Milton Monday, March 11, 2013. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. with service following. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park. Following the funeral there will be food and fellowship at the home of Doug and Karen Cremeans.
