Nancy Tanner
(1946 - September 6, 2013)

NANCY TANNER, 72, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013, after a prolonged battle with cancer. She was born in Huntington, W.Va., to Lucille and Curtis Young. In life, Nancy was a dedicated wife and mother who made the world a better place for her loved ones and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, retired Navy officer William E. Tanner; son William "Rocky"; daughter-in-law Denise; grandchildren Kyla and Kira; daughter Jodi; mother Lucille Lewis; sisters Sandra Hagley and Nellie Lawson. She is preceded in death by her father Curtis Young. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Richard Tanner. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Huntington or the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
