PAUL GIBSON
(April 23, 1925 - November 22, 2015)



PAUL GIBSON, 90 of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel with Pastor Buddy Muncy officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born April 23, 1925, in Lincoln County, West Virginia, a son of the late Harrison and Mary Hodge Gibson. He was a retired truck driver with Teamsters Local 505 and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army. He spent his retirement years gardening and tending to his chickens at the Gibson Farm in Salt Rock, W.Va. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Turner and Anna Mount, and one brother, Hubert Gibson. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Reba Mae Bias Gibson; six daughters, Reba Lloyd, Paula Fields and Kim (Roy Mays) Newsome, all of Huntington, Vonda (David) Black of Ona, W.Va., Teresa (David) Shockley of South Point, Ohio and Diana (Rick) Hodges of Charleston, W.Va.; one son, Jason (Penny) Gibson of Salt Rock; two sisters, Julie Nicely of Mason County, West Virginia, and Margaret Hagley of Lesage, W.Va.; two brothers, Lowell Gibson of Glenwood, W.Va., and Harrison Gibson of Lesage, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
