BEULAH "KATIE"  SPARKS
(March 14, 2016)



BEULAH "KATIE" (HARLESS-CLAGG) SPARKS died Monday, March 14, 2016 under the watchful care of Hospice at age 82, after a long battle with myelofibrosis, a rare and fatal bone marrow cancer. Katy was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend John E. Sparks. She is survived by her son Steve (Lynn) Clagg of Proctorville, OH, and daughter Marsha (Greg) Sanders of Milton, WV. Katie was a wonderful homemaker. Many are left with fond memories of Holidays past or dinners where delicious meals and sincere hospitality was experienced. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Dempsey Harless, 3rd oldest of 10 children. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jeff Black. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Mom will be genuinely missed.
