Sue Ellen
Chaney Cain, 59, of
Huntington,
WV died Thursday, November 1, 2007 in St.
Mary’s
Medical
Center,
Huntington after a courageous
battle with liver disease. She was born September 14,
1948 in
Adams County,
OH, a daughter of the late
Edward C. and Carolyn Blackburn Chaney. She was a
graduate of
Cabrillo
College in
Aptos,
CA and the
University of
Cincinnati,
Cincinnati,
OH, where she received her
Master’s Degree in education in 1981. Sue was a teacher
of children with special needs for over 35 years, having taught in
Hamilton and
Scioto
Counties in
Ohio, as well as the
Pasadena
Unified
School District in
Pasadena,
CA. She was
an active member of
St. Paul
Lutheran
Church, having served
as a Sunday School Teacher, member of the Evangelism and Christian Education
Committees, Church council and the Preschool Board.
Survivors include her devoted partner and companion of 23 years, Wilma
Anderson, and her beloved children, Meredith Rachel and Jonathan Levi
Anderson-Cain, all of
Huntington.
A Celebration of Sue’s Life will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 11,
2007 at St. Paul Lutheran Church,
721 12th Ave.
The Anderson-Cain Family would like to thank the skilled and
compassionate staff of St. Mary’s Hospital, particularly Dr. Kevin Yingling
and Dr. J. Daniels, the staff of MICU and 4 South Team 3.
