    John Benjamin Roy, age 
    79, of

    Saturday, February 21, 2009 after a brief illness. He leaves behind his 
    wife, Jane Shelton Roy; four daughters: Elizabeth Roy, Janemari Chateauvert 
    and her husband, Brian, Nancy Brandon and her husband, Tom, of MA and Cindy 
    Osburn and her husband, Rod of OH; his brother, Charles Roy and wife, 
    Patricia of WI and sister, Jean Sullivan and husband, Joe of MD; stepsons, 
    Mike Shelton and wife, Pam of NC, Marc Shelton, Danny Shelton and wife, 
    Marian of TX, and step-daughter Teri Shelton of NC; eighteen grandchildren 
    and one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.  John was born August 9, 1929 
    in 
    
    Washburn,
    
    WIto 
    the late John Benjamin and Ruth Olson Roy.  He was also preceded in death by 
    a sister, Mary Roy.  John was a 
    
    Michigan
    
    
    
    
    
    State
    University 
    graduate.  After serving in the United States Marines during the Korean War, 
    John embarked on an agricultural career. He owned and operated RWC, Inc. (Westfield,
    
    MA), 
    which provides railroad vegetation control.  As founder and CEO of RWC, Inc. 
    John oversaw the growth of the company which now provides services in over 
    40 states.  John was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. 
    He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports. He was an avid 
    
    Marshall 
    
    
    
    
    University 
    fan. John and Jane traveled extensively, cruising the world with both family 
    and friends.  
    
    John’s funeral will be held Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Beard 
    Mortuary in
    
    Huntington,
    
    WV. 
    Burial will follow in
    White
    Chapel
    Memorial
    Gardens 
    in
    
    Barboursville,
    
    WV. 
    The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 25th, 
    6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
