Obituary

Alice Sue Fields Smith, 60, of Huntington passed away February 21, 2009 at her residence.  She was born Sept 9, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a daughter of the late Jimmy R. Fields and Sallye Truiett Fields of St. Louis, MO.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Fields.  She was a graduate of Withrow High School, Cincinnati.  She went to University of Cincinnati for two years.  She was employed at the cafeteria of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH.  She spent a lot of her time volunteering at Grace Hill Medical Clinic in St. Louis, MO.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Cincinnati, OH.  She attended Brown Chapel Church in Cincinnati where she gave her life to Christ as a child. She was a member of North Galilee Church in St. Louis, MO, where she sang in the choir.  She loved music and played the piano and violin.  In addition to her mother, Sallye Truiett Fields she is survived by her children, Francheska Foster, Marcus Elliott Fields, Joel Jimmy Fields; seven grandchildren; three nephews; one neice; a host of cousins and other family and friends.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Tom and Debra for all the care and compassion they have shown to Alice.  Thanks to everyone for your sympathy and generosity during our time of bereavement, it has been a source of consolation.  May God bless each of you.
