Obituary

Christina R. Bell 90, of Huntington, WV died Sunday January 4, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Jim Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born September 13, 1918 in Russell, KY a daughter of the late Silas O. and Leona Franklin Lawrence. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby C. Bell, Jr, a sister Odessa Irene Cyfers and three brothers, George, Helmer and Willis Lawrence. She was a member of Highlawn Baptist Church. She was employed for over 20 years at the former Huntington Department Store. Christine is survived by her loving family, a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Claude Gore of Ona, WV; two grandchildren, Christal Gore of Barboursville, WV and Josh Gore and his fiancée Heather Austin of Gainesville, FL; three nieces, Doris Jean Harmon and her husband, Kenneth of Huntington; Anis Lawrence of Branchland, WV and Patricia Kaminski and her husband, David of Broadview Heights, OH and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Florence Bell of Stewart, VA. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to her special caregiver, Debbie Plumley and Hospice caregivers, Katrina Barry, Lois Norris and Ginger Kuhn. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Huntington.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Beard Mortuary.
