Obituary

Larry E. Kirk, 69, of Ona passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family and friends on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. He was born July 29, 1939 in Logan, WV, son of Dicie Kirk of Barboursville.  He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Cynthia; daughter, Marisa (Larry) Miller of Chesapeake; son, Dale, of Portsmouth; and grandchildren Meagan Kelley and Rachael Miller. Son-in-law of Chester and the late Elizabeth Runo; and brother-in-law of Robert (Brooke) Runo; Deborah (James) Segan; and Charles (Lisa) Runo. He was also an uncle and great uncle.  He leaves behind many loving and true friends. He was a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, a member of Guyan Golf & Country  Club, and worked in the insurance business.  A memorial service will be held at the 5:30 p.m. Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Huntington.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington or St Joseph Catholic Church, Huntington.  Beard Mortuary, Huntington is assisting the family with arrangements.
