Obituary

Jerry Lee Christian, 67, of Huntington passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born on October 28, 1941 a son of the late Elmer and Helen Christian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Bobby and Danny Dale “Pete” Christian. He is survived by his wife; Debbie, two sons Michael and Rick Christian of Huntington, WV, two grandchildren; Brooke and Morgan Christian of Huntington, two sisters; Judy (Chet) Thomas of Patriot, OH and Goldie Christian of Huntington, five brothers; Oscar Christian of Castleberry, FL, Richard Christian of Patriot, OH, David Christian of Huntington, Lewis Christian of Proctorville, OH, and Freddie Christian of Huntington, and one close friend; Chuck Wissman. Mr. Christian was a retired shipping supervisor with over 30 years of service at Owens-Brockway Glass. He was also a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of VFW Post 1064. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
