Muriel "Moo" Pratt

Muriel Irene Lester McGinnis (Moo) Pratt, 90, of Huntington, WV, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Muriel was born February 21, 1919 in Bayonne, New Jersey the only child of Thomas J. and Edna May Lester. She was predeceased by her husbands Bernard C. McGinnis, Jr. and Clarence H. Pratt. She is survived by two sons and their wives Bernard C. McGinnis III (Debbie) and Thomas L. McGinnis (Carey). Step children are Lynne (Gary) McKenzie, Karen (Joe) McDonie, and Bridges Kidd (widower of Kathy). Grandchildren, their wives, and Muriel’s great grandchildren are Bernard C. McGinnis IV (Jodi) Maddie and Jackson; John (Pam) Harrison; Thomas L., II; Malinda C. (Kenny) Frye; Andrew (Cindy); Benjamin (Aly) Max, Riley, Darby and Lily McGinnis. Step grandchildren are Chris and Kevin McKenzie, Brandon, Danny, and Brock Kidd, Justin and Brittany McDonie. Muriel was a member of Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, East Huntington Kiwanianne Club, and Guyan Golf and Country Club. Her family expresses its appreciation for the loving care extended her by Karen Ward, her extended family and the staff at the Woodlands. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor J.W. Lipphardt officiating. Entombment will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a contribution to Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family.
